We are now looking for a construction worker for the Roads and Parks department in Skellefteå municipality. Here you will have a varied job where you, together with your colleagues, contribute to developing and building the municipality's infrastructure.

YOUR ROLE

As a construction worker, you will work with your colleagues to construct the municipality's roads, paths, parks, and water and sewage lines.

A large part of the work involves the renovation and new construction of water and sewage lines. You will also participate in other earthworks and construction tasks related to roads and paths. The work is practical, varied, and takes place outdoors in different environments around the municipality.

You will work closely with your colleagues in the team and have support from both supervisors and unit managers in planning and executing the work.

Working hours are typically from 07:00 to 16:00 with the possibility of flexibility. On-call duty may occur.

YOUR COMPETENCE AND EXPERIENCE

To thrive in this role, we believe you have a practical background and enjoy working outdoors in a profession where teamwork is essential.

We are looking for someone who has:

• a high school education in construction and civil engineering, or work experience that we consider equivalent
• a B driver's license for manual transmission
• the ability to handle a job that is active and physical for large parts of the workday

It is an advantage if you have experience in construction work, earthworks, or work with water and sewage lines. If you have previously worked with pipe laying, that is also a merit. Certifications in PE welding or training in Work on Roads are seen as a plus.

As a person, you collaborate well with others and contribute to a positive atmosphere in the workgroup. At the same time, you take responsibility for your tasks and can work independently when needed. You can adapt when the work changes and maintain focus even when the pace increases.

In your work, you will meet both residents and colleagues in various operations. Therefore, you need to communicate in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. You also need to be able to use digital tools for simple reporting and information retrieval.

YOUR NEW WORKPLACE

You will be part of the Roads and Parks department within Skellefteå municipality. Together, we work on the operation, maintenance, and development of the municipality's roads, paths, parks, and water and sewage lines.

Here, we work closely together in teams and help each other to solve tasks in the best way. The work is varied, and you will have the entire municipality as your workplace.
